Highlights from preseason game one:

The fellas came out firing, taking a commanding lead in the first half. Obviously, the reserves hit the court in the second half, and just about anything can happen after that.

Benn Mathurin continues to make some of the silliest layups I've ever seen.

Preseason normalcies aside, it was good to see the Pacers back on the hardwood. Unfortunately, TJ might have tweaked a hammy. Here's to hoping for the speediest of recoveries. Also, Delon Wright had to leave the game after going head to head with Jaylen Clark's noggin. His head then bounced off the floor like a basketball, which wasn't pretty. Hope he's alright.

Don't love to see the guard depth getting battered like this in a preseason game, but so is the world of athletics. There's plenty of time for a little R&R before the season officially tips off.

Indiana starts the year on a winning note by a final score of 135-134 in overtime. Overtime in the preseason feels a little silly, but the boys at the end of the bench need those reps.
